We had never stopped at a Walmart just to shop so we decided that yesterday was a good time to do that. I don't even remember the name of the town but the store was right off the freeway and very easy to get to.
We are in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. We didn't plan to stay here but our water pump decided not to work and we thought this was as good a place as any to stop and fix it. Kirby found an RV store that had what we needed. I think we are so lucky that he can fix things. First thing in the morning he took everything out of the storage compartment to troubleshoot it. Then he put everything back in so we could travel from our little overnight park in Welcome, Minnesota to Sioux Falls. Then he took everything out again to replace the defunct part. And then got to put all the stuff back in again. Needless to say he was pretty pooped when the day was over.
All over the country I have collected the "Welcome" signs when we enter a new state. It has been a fun thing to do. When we got to Wisconsin, there was no sign to welcome us. In Minnesota there was just a sign on the other side of the freeway with "Minnesota" on it - nothing else. And here is the sign for South Dakota. (the road was so, so bumpy that I couldn't get a good photo). The interesting thing is that Wisconsin, Minnesota and South Dakota did not "Welcome" us!
