Buck Hall Recreation Area

We have finally left Oak Plantation Campground!  It took us about an hour and a half to travel to our new home at Buck Hall Recreation Area.  Above is the view from the back window.  This place is awesome because it is green, has hiking trails and is on the Intra Coastal Waterway and has a boat launch and a pier.

We continue to learn about hitching up to go and then setting up our RV at the other end.  At least this time that we moved, it was for us, not for a repair.  And I didn't get nervous this time!  There is so much to learn and so much to think about.  We had our departure checklist and we used it.  There were a couple of items that I would have forgotten without the list.  I hope to always use it but eventually not really need it!  Kirby seems to just instinctively know what to do next.  He is awesome!

I think I showed you a couple of pictures of our site here a couple of weeks ago when we made a visit just for fun.  It is a great site with our front door facing the trees.  There is a large picnic table, lantern posts (but we don't have a lantern) and a nice fire ring.  We are sitting on asphalt instead of dirt and gravel at the last place.

Since we are still so close to Charleston, daughter, Christie and her two yellow labs came to visit.  We took the dogs on a walk, run on one of the trails and then enjoyed a fire in the fire ring.  We met some new neighbors too.  Everyone is very friendly here!  Love this spot!

You're right pretty soon you won't be needing your list because it will become habitual. Moving from one spot to another will be habit. Welcome to the RV way of life. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It's about time.
